Our vision begins with the hope that we can make a difference in Chesapeake, the 4th District, Virginia and America. We hope that by electing Republicans who believe in our party's principles of faith, community and values, we will make that difference.

Every year the party is active in grassroots politics, social events, community service projects and fundraising for local candidates. There is never a lack of things to do in the GOP!

Our executive board and committee chairs are committed to the vision of Republican leadership in our community and they work dilgently to achieve that goal.

Our's is the party of the big tent. The GOP strongly supported the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the 1965 Voting Rights Act. In fact, it was only because of the "opposition party's" support that Democrat Lyndon Johnson was able to pass this profoundly significant legislation.

We take our history as Lincoln's party and the party of civil rights very seriously. We continue to believe that the best solution for economic equality and a prosperous community is through supporting strong education initiatives and accountability, low taxes, and family values.
